The Chinese payment system UnionPay can also become a replacement for Visa and MasterCard. Some Russian banks issue UnionPay cards, and they can be used for payment in hotels in St. Petersburg.

Many hotels in St. Petersburg already accept cryptocurrency as payment for accommodation.
